The PDF 4562 form is also required for the tax year. Updates for future years will be made available for download at www.MicroTechWare.com .
Setup Company Information under menu Defaults\Set Companies.
Input asset data under menu Maintenances\Assets. To aid in data input and producing reports, the default year can be set under menu item Defaults\Set Default Year. If the current 179 or Auto maximum amounts are missing, these can be updated under menu Maintenance\179 Limits or menu item Auto Maximum Limits.
Enter miscellaneous data under menu Maintenance\Miscellaneous 4562 Data.
Make sure if there are any automobiles that the Auto Qst for Employer and/or Auto Use forms are completed. These forms are under the menu item Maintenance.
Form 4562 can be run by selecting the menu Federal Reports\Form 4562. The form is displayed with the fields populated.
Warning - The data can be edited, but this is not recommended. The preferred method is to adjust the data through the proper input form. Some of the 4562 forms are savable, but this will only save a copy of the form. Any changes made on the form will not update Depreciation 4562 Pro.
